Welcome to the Royal Oak Middle School website. Please take time to familiarize yourself with the information items listed and make a special note of our daily announcement and newsletter. At Royal Oak there is always something exciting happening that reflects the life and culture of Middle School. Therefore keeping families connected has much as possible will help support our students in their successes as Royal Oak. Our school motto is; "expecting the best." I encourage all staff and students to challenge themselves to be the best at whatever the task may be. Setting term goals is an exercise all students can practice throughout the year to ensure personal growth. Individual goals can be found in the student agenda books. We believe students should take responsibility for making appropriate choices with respect to their learning, academic success, and personal behaviours. Both staff and parents must work together to ensure a safe, productive and supportive learning environment is achieved at school and home. Please use the website on a frequent basis to stay informed. Royal Oak Middle School is a dynamic environment of approximately 700 students and 65 staff. Situated in the heart of the Saanich Municipality, Royal Oak is not only a warm, vibrant, happy, and active place during the day, but also a very busy place in the evening with a large number of community activities and classes occurring throughout the building. With so many great activities going on at Royal Oak Middle School this web site is a quick and easy way to find out what's happening or find the person that can help you find the information you want!
